I am so excited! You know the HUGE summer reads giveaway that Hachette Book Group USA has been running on various bloggers' websites? Well, I recently found out from Queenie D at Book-Club-Queen that I won -- that's 14 new books! I can barely wait to get my hands on that big box! You will be hearing lots more about these books as I read and review them in the next few months!

MISCARRIAGE OF JUSTICE by “Kip” Gayden
TRESPASSERS WILL BE BAPTIZED by Elizabeth Hancock
HE LOVES ME, HE LOVES ME NOT by Trish Ryan

A ROSE BY THE DOOR by Deborah Bedford

I also received a really neat little package from Penguin Group (USA) last week! I figured it was a book (and it was, THE LAST SUMMER OF YOU AND ME), but I was so surprised to receive a matching beach towel too! Isn't it the little things in life that mean so much?
And another one...I returned home from my mini-vacation to Washington D.C. to a message from Jocelyn at BookFinds telling me that I won a copy of GARGOYLE. I am dying to read this book since I've seen so many differing opinions on it.
Wow! That's a lot of books! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteWelcome home and congratulations on all those books!! WOW!
ReplyDeleteSo what did you see in D.C.? I grew up just outside the D.C. line in Silver Spring, MD and love to hear what people think and saw when they vacation there.
XO-K
You lucky, lucky girl!!! I'm so jealous!!! I agree, sometimes its the small unexepected things that make it even more special. I'm happy for you! :)
ReplyDeleteWe actually just went down for a day because my husband had to fly out first thing Monday morning and my son's birthday party was Saturday afternoon. My daughter has been begging to visit for quite awhile -- she's a real history buff for a nine year old! We had a gorgeous day, so we went to the monuments, Air and Space Museum, and Natural History. We also visited a Jim Henson exhibit. Of course, we stopped by Tysons Galleria for dinner and a little shopping! I drove back home on Monday with the kids and made a quick stop at the Gettysburg Outlets!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I lived in the Northern Virginia area for around 10 years after college. We traded in the traffic and chaos to move to Central PA where I can stay-at-home with my kids!
congrats, congrats, congrats on your 3 winnings!
ReplyDeleteYou should take mini-vacations more often, if this is what happens when you're away :)
Congrats! I won too at Bookroomreviews and I was so excited! :)
