I am just thrilled to announce my latest giveaway -- it's my biggest one ever! Many of you are probably familiar with CBS.com's new webcast entitled Novel Adventures. If not, you should definitely check out the latest episode.
Here's a little more about the show:
Lizzie, Laura, Joanna, and Amy are decidedly uninterested in the pretentious book club they belong to, but they enjoy the time away from their families. Determined to take their 'us'-time and enjoy it, they decide to use the books as inspiration. It's great to read about amazing lives, but these girls are ready to live them.
And so, the four women start a new kind of book club, picking a "novel adventure" for each book. Each meeting is an opportunity for discovery, freedom, and fun. The adventure is just the beginning.
The novels explored in the web series include the following:
The Old Man and the Sea (Ernest Hemingway)
Girls Like Us (Sheila Weller)
The Bourne Trilogy (Robert Ludlum)
Monster of Florence (Douglas Preston)
The Sharper Your Knife, the Less You Cry (Kathleen Flinn)
Gone With the Wind (Margaret Mitchell)
Life So Far (Betty Friedan)
The Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Pie Society (Mary Ann Shaffer & Annie Barrows)
Knit Two (Kate Jacobs)
One very lucky person will win all nine books! What a great holiday gift for someone or even a wonderful treat for you!
A huge thanks goes out to CBS and Novel Adventures for providing the books for this contest. If you'd like to win all nine of these books, please leave a comment saying which episode is your favorite so far. To double your chances, blog about this contest with a link back to this post. I will be taking entries until Tuesday, December 2nd at 11:59 p.m. EST. The winner will be announced the following day. This contest is limited to domestic shipping only. Good Luck!
Sheesh, you're up almost as early as I am.

I really liked The Sand and The Sea episode linked to The Old Man and the Sea. It looked like so much fun and the hot instructor didn't hurt either!

ReplyDeleteWow I can't believe I haven't heard of this! I'm definatly gonna go check it out since I love books! So I don't have a favorite episode yet, but I'd still really like to be entered. thank you!
ReplyDeleteI liked the second episode (Fab Four) where they got to be recording artists. I liked the ending where Daphne's character got to impress her 16 yo son.
ReplyDeleteOn a side note, I think the series does a great job advertising the cars without being too obnoxious about it.
Thanks for the chance to win these books!
I'm going to have to say the Sand and Sea episode, also. Thanks for entering me.
ReplyDeleteI also posted this on my blog.

It's really pretty hard to pick a favorite webisode - they are all surprisingly charming! I guess I'd have to go with the Fab Four, 'cause I can relate to having a teenager who thinks I'm ancient. ;) (btw: I'm 35!!)
ReplyDeleteOh, I also spotlighted your giveaway on my blog's "Friday Features." Thanks!
I would love to win your contest!! What a great giveaway!!

I came to your site looking for something i could say to my new bookclub about the book I picked (Names My Sisters Call Me) and instead I found you giving away books. You can be sure I'll share them and pass them around my book club - a whole slew of ladies I'll be getting to know through a military spouses club. Nikki

ReplyDeleteI liked the 3rd one!

I really loved the Spy Girls episode! I've always wondered why the spies are always men! I wanted to be a secret agent when I was a kid. That was the perfect episode.
ReplyDeleteI actually also loved the If you can't take the heat episode because it would totally make my day if someone gave me that random recognition that Amy gets at the restaurant.
I blogged about your contest in my sidebar feature.
I liked the if you can't take the heat. I think the whole idea is neat. Does anyone know if there planning to make this into a tv show. That would be cool.
ReplyDeleteEnter me in the drawing.

I really liked the concept in the first episode, The Sand and Sea Club, of getting in touch with The Old Man and the Sea by surfing in your underwear with a hot guy. Interesting, no? Anyway, I enjoyed the second episode, The Fab Four, as well and look forward to viewing the others. Great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteThe Sand and the Sea was really good. Thanks so much for the chance to win so many great books.
