BBAW Reading Meme

Since I am still on vacation at Disneyworld with my family (I know... not the best timing,) I tried to complete as many of the BBAW activities as I could before heading out! I had to guess at what book I'm reading because I packed a few for the trip!

Today's challenge is a Reading Meme. I am encouraged to be creative with this. Please choose one or two questions to answer or try to answer all the questions in five words or less. Or choose a picture to answer a question! Brevity is the goal of today! I chose to answer the questions in as few words as possible!

Do you snack while you read? If so, favorite reading snack? Sometimes....fat-free microwave popcorn

Do you tend to mark your books as you read, or does the idea of writing in books horrify you? I could never deface a book

How do you keep your place while reading a book? Bookmark? Dog-ears? Laying the book flat open? Always a cute bookmark

Fiction, Non-fiction, or both? Both, but usually fiction

Hard copy or audiobooks? Hard copy

Are you a person who tends to read to the end of chapters, or are you able to put a book down at any point? If I can help it, chapter breaks

If you come across an unfamiliar word, do you stop to look it up right away? Sadly, no

What are you currently reading? DREAMING ANASTASIA by Joy Preble

What is the last book you bought? THE ELEGANCE OF THE HEDGEHOG

Are you the type of person that only reads one book at a time or can you read more than one at a time? Almost always monogamous

Do you have a favorite time of day and/or place to read? Afternoons on the couch or bedtime

Do you prefer series books or stand alone books? Either, but I like to read series in order

Is there a specific book or author that you find yourself recommending over and over? Michael Connelly, Michelle Moran, The Hunger Games (to name a few)

How do you organize your books? (By genre, title, author’s last name, etc.?) Organize???? You must be kidding!

  1. You and I have scarily similar answers to this list! haha

As meticulous as I am in most everything my bookshelve organization is non-existant. I have it on my to-do list but it always gets pushed down for other higher priorities.

  2. I don't look up unfamiliar words either. As a result I know a lot of words but not their specific definition. I haven't been wrong yet at least. =) (or, no one has told me so!)

  6. I really try to stick with one book at a time but it never works out that way.

  7. Popcorn seems to be a popular reading snack! My books aren't organized either, but I wish they were!

  8. I'm with you on that last one - maybe some day when I live alone! Haven't read the Hedgehog book yet, but someone recently gave me a copy. Hope you're having fun on that vacation!

  9. I'm lucky to have my books on the shelf neatly. There is no way they'd be organized!

  10. I always have the best of intentions of looking up unfamiliar words...but then I never do.

  11. I might make a note of the unfamiliar word, but I rarely follow through and look it up.

Someone (who!??) suggested looking them up on the cell phone, which seems to always be at arm's length; good idea, I thought.

  12. For the most part, I'm monogamous, too. (We are talking about books, right? LOL) Lately, though, I've had a short attention span and there are several books on my nightstand.
