Review: Glasses USA

A few weeks ago, I was contacted by GlassesUSA asking if I would be interested in trying out a pair of their eyeglasses. My first reaction was that I review books and I didn't really see any connection between a book blog and eyeglasses; however, I quickly realized that both involved eyes! And ever since I turned the big 4-0, I've discovered that my eyesight is slipping! I'm beginning to need reading glasses -- UGH! I am becoming one of those people who have to move things farther away before the small words come into focus. My mother used to warn me about it, but I thought it would never happen to me. I always figured that I exercised my eyes more than the average person!

I was thrilled when the folks at Glasses USA offered me "a FREE pair of fashionable, high-quality prescription single vision (that means for distance or reading) eyeglasses." Since my only issues with seeing are when I am reading small print, I opted for reading glasses; however, GlassesUSA also sells a wide-range of prescription glasses.

I admit that I was a little hesitant about ordering glasses without trying them on, but Glasses USA has a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee -- so there are no worries. Being that I've only purchased sunglasses, I wasn't exactly sure what style frame would look best on me. Luckily for me, there were just tons of eyeglass frames to choose from. I knew that I wanted something fun and trendy so I went with the Independence Black Full Frames.
I was happy with the final result, although it's not the best picture of me. (I only had three hours of sleep because I spent the night at the emergency room with my son.) While I'm not exactly thrilled that I need reading glasses, I do like this pair! The eyeglasses came in a nice case with a cleaning cloth; and they seem to be very sturdy. They also have cute little rhinestone accents that aren't showy at all. I like how they make me look smart (in a non-nerdy way!)

I like that GlassesUSA is a "green" company! That means that they "recycle" all of their returned eyeglasses. They actually donate all of their returned eyeglasses to organizations around the U.S. who then sanitize and redistribute the eyeglasses with the correct prescription to people all over the word who can't afford vision care!

If you are looking for a pair of new eye wear, then you should definitely check out GlassesUSA! They have lots of very nice frames for every taste, and I think their prices are extremely competitive. When you purchase the discounted frames, you get the regular lenses for free -- that sounds like a pretty good deal. Besides normal reading and prescription glasses, they also offer lens upgrades for an additional fee including thinner/lighter lenses as well as many coating choices.

The folks at GlassesUSA have a special offer for Booking Mama readers. Use the coupon code Mommy5 to get 5% off of your final order -- that's a code that never expires. Or, you can sign-up for their e-mail notifications, you can get an instant $5 coupon.

Thanks to GlassesUSA for sending me a pair of reading glasses.

Those glasses are super cute on you! I already wear glasses for distance and have for quite awhile. I'm hoping not to need bifocals like my mom eventually.

I have to tell you ... those are very flattering glasses! And as someone who has had to wear glasses since 1st grade, I know what I'm talking about!
