Ok! I've decided on my list for the Shelf Discovery Challenge (well, kind of.) While I am so excited about this challenge, I admit that I have been procrastinating with selecting my six book. When I made the rules, I said that I wouldn't hold anyone to their list; but I'm still spending a lot of time picking mine. I found over ten books in our house, bought one book, and picked up another five books at the library yesterday (I've also reserved quite a few.)So here's my (very) tentative list:
The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin (re-read)
The Grounding of Group Six by Julian Thompson (re-read)
Jacob I Have Loved by Katherine Patterson (new-to-me, I think)
Are You There God, It's Me Margaret by Judy Blume (re-read)
A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle (new-to-me)
Homecoming by Cynthia Voigt (new-to-me)I have pretty much decided that I am going to read these six books; however, what I'm also realizing is that I want to read a whole lot more of the books mentioned in SHELF DISCOVERY! There are just too many good ones!

The books mentioned in Shelf Discovery are all good! It wasn't easy to pick.

i've read all those except Grounding of Group Six. All classics!!
I loved several of those books growing up: Westing Game, Homecoming, Are You There, God?. Great choices!
I had a hard time deciding, so I left it up to random.org! Here are my final choices.
Oh wow! Jacob Have I Loved and Homecoming are two books I LOVED when I was a kid and haven't thought about in such a long time.

I have a feeling I'll have to read more than just six books once I actually read Shelf Discovery, but I'm committed to my six because I just mooched them all and I don't have very many BookMooch points.

Every time I look at someone else's list, I want to read the books they picked too. I'm sure I'll end up reading more than six!

I am thinking about reading more than 6 as well. Choosing just six is proving much too hard.
I've read and loved all the books on your list except The Grounding of Group Six by Julian Thompson. I'll have to check that one out.
