Wondrous Words Wednesday - December 2, 2009

Wondrous Words Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Kathy aka Bermuda Onion where we share new (to us) words that we’ve encountered in our reading. Feel free to join in the fun.

IN A PERFECT WORLD by Laura Kasischke

  1. Rictus - nice word; I wouldn't have guessed the definition by its sound. (And I love the pink of your blog - very refreshing to open up to!)

  2. I am trying to think about how you could use this word to remind kids to close their mouths when they're chewing. :) Thanks for sharing!

  3. I've always thought that rictus was an ominous word, or at least, associated with unpleasant things. Given your review of this book, it sounds very appropriate!

  4. I thought that was what rictus means, but in the context, I see why you had to look it up, because I would have too. Thanks for participating.
