What new words did you discover this week?
Those are both new to me too! Somehow I doubt I'll be able to ease them into a conversation today.
ReplyDeleteI knew destrier. And I didn't know compline, but I imagine I may have seen it already somewhere (Pillars of the Earth comes to mind as a good title to feature this word...)
ReplyDeleteWith words such as these two, it sounds like a book that would suit me! Thanks for sharing.
These books with canonical hours mentioned drive me crazy because I can never get them straight! Even my husband, who had 18 years in Catholic schools can't though, so I feel better! :--)
ReplyDeleteBoth new words for me there today Julie. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThose are both new to me. Though I vaguely thought I knew compline. This book is totally on my TBR list, I love the cover.

ReplyDeleteI love the way the words, sentences and the title of the book tells me about the flavor of the book. If I saw this at the library, I'd check it out. Sounds like my kind of book.
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteI knew what destrier was but not compline. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day!

Good words. I think I had guessed that destrier was a horse, but it's good to know that it's a war-horse.
