Last year right around this time, I reviewed a fantastic historical fiction book called FOR THE KING by Catherine Delors. I was pleasantly surprised by how intriguing this novel was because I was expecting a king/queen story based on the cover. Rather, FOR THE KING was more of a crime thriller. It began with an assassination on Napoleon's life and followed one man's investigation into the crime. (I guess that will teach me to judge a book by it's cover!)
I adored this book for so many reasons -- the mystery, the characters, and the blend of fact and fiction! It really is a terrific summer read. To celebrate the paperback release of FOR THE KING, the publisher has offered a copy of the novel for one very lucky Booking Mama reader. To enter, just fill out the form below before July 20th at 11:59 p.m. ET. I will randomly select and notify the winner the following day. This contest is open to those of you with US addresses only. Good luck.
I've filled out the form - thanks for the chance to win a copy of a book you so enjoyed!
